Valentine’s night 2027
The 2027 theme · Oneness
Two lives, two stories, two sets of habits. One flesh.
Echad is the Hebrew word for “one” in Genesis 2:24. It is the same word used in Deuteronomy 6:4, “the Lord is one”: a oneness where two distinct people are joined without losing who they are.
Oneness is the oldest promise in marriage, and the easiest one to lose track of. Busy seasons pull couples into separate lanes. You share a home, a calendar and a bank account, and still feel like you are living side by side instead of together.
In 2025 we talked about alignment: are we walking in the same direction? In 2026 we talked about intimacy: are we still close? This year we go to the root of both. Jesus repeated it in Matthew 19: “What God has joined together, let no one separate.” God’s design was never two people cooperating. It was two people becoming one.
Night of Marital Bliss 2027 is an evening to practise that oneness on purpose: in how you speak, how you dream, how you love and how you choose each other again.

What you’ll learn
The four pillars of oneness
The evening is built around four parts of becoming one, taught by Pastor Valerie and Pastor Erons through honest teaching, conversation and guided exercises you do together at your table.
Leaving
Genesis 2:24Making your marriage your first household. Healthy boundaries with family, past habits and outside voices, so your “us” comes first.
Cleaving
Matthew 19:6Holding fast to each other as a lifelong covenant, not a contract. Choosing loyalty, repair and forgiveness when it would be easier to pull away.
One flesh
1 Corinthians 7:3–5Physical intimacy as God designed it: a bond of body, soul and spirit. Talked about with honesty and dignity, never awkwardly.
Shared purpose
Amos 3:3Aligning goals, decisions and your spiritual life so you function as “us”, while honouring each person’s own God-given calling. Including how to persevere together.
The evening
Elegant, warm, fun, and never awkward
Night of Marital Bliss is not a lecture and it is not therapy. It is a curated night out for the two of you. Nothing is forced and no one is put on the spot.

Arrival & picture moments
Come dressed up. Styled photo spots are ready so you leave with pictures worth framing.

Dinner buffet
Small chops and signature mocktails, then a generous serve-yourself dinner buffet and dessert.

Games & couple exercises
Playful games and guided exercises that build teamwork and get you laughing together.

Teaching on oneness
Biblical, practical teaching from Pastor Valerie and Pastor Erons. Honest truth you can take home and use.

Guided exercises
Simple, private exercises for the two of you: conversations, prompts and moments to reconnect at your table.

Renewal of vows
A quiet, beautiful moment to look at each other and say it again, on purpose.
What couples tell us
“We talked about things we hadn’t talked about in years.”

Pastor Valerie (PV) & Pastor Erons Okebhagbe
PV is a Kingdom marriage and relationship mentor, the founder of Marital Bliss with PV and Marital Bliss Unfiltered, and co-pastor of Gospel Mind Christian Church in Calgary alongside her husband, Pastor Erons, the co-visionary of this night.
Night of Marital Bliss started as a burden more than a decade ago: how do we help couples stay happily married, not just married? Every year since, it has been a place for couples to pause, reconnect and protect what they have built.
